Episode 06: Dr. LaTasha Russell

Dr. LaTasha Russell is an internationally-recognized Mental Health Clinician, Author, and Speaker. A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, she received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology after graduating from Spelman College with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Pre-medicine. Today, she is a Relationship Coach for professional athletes and their significant others. Dr. Tasha is also the President of The Association of Black Psychologists, South Florida Chapter. Dr. Tasha has worked in a variety of mental health settings and has proven herself to work effectively with marginalized individuals including sex workers, pastors, and police officers. She has provided therapeutic sessions in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, Virginia, Washington D.C., Singapore, Japan, and in South Florida where she now resides.

Dr. Tasha is the co-author of “It Ain’t the Dishes,” a highly-acclaimed, must-read book for anyone experiencing relationship challenges. Dr. Tasha also hosts a Live Talk Show every 1st Thursday at Krave Restaurant and Lounge in Sunrise, Florida. It is the only talk show where the guests are selected right from the audience. Dr. Tasha has made numerous appearances on notable shows including Hot Talk with Jill Tracey on Miami’s Hot 105 FM and CBS4 Miami. She also previously starred in a live AM radio show on WAVS 1170. In 2018, Dr. Tasha was recognized by the Miami Herald as one of the Top 40 Leaders under 40. With her sharp-shooting style and voice of accountability, Dr. Tasha has helped to dispel the myths of talking to a professional about what goes on behind closed doors.
